…
from the Origin of Beasts,
“…you fear nothing.

when I was in Dublin, I saw the Book of Kells, a Celtic translation of the Bible rich with symbolism and imagery. I have long been interested in Egyptian hieroglyphics, and runes of ancient cultures, and so I decided to design, write, and carve my own.
the word illustrated here is the word BOLD, defined as “showing the ability to take risks; confident and courageous.”
A Beast has learned to be bold. It is the more interesting story.
the letter B is “beauty”, an eye wide open
the letter O is “opulence”, three cups full, over a lush river
the letter L is “learning”, a sprout ever growing
the letter D is “decisiveness”, an eye at attention, headed in a deft direction
